

Anthony “Tony” Capoccia, age 92 passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at St. Ann’s Hospital. He was born in Columbus on September 9, 1920 to the late Pasquale and Mary Capoccia. Anthony served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He retired after 35 years of service from Beasley Industries-J.W. Watson. Anthony loved to grow roses and was also a very good cook, especially when it came to making his homemade pasta. Anthony was an avid Buckeye football fan. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Carmel; children Mary Ann (Terry) Counts, Anthony Pasquale (Katherine) Capoccia; grandchildren, Terry (Lisa) Counts, Elizabeth (Tom) Bullen, Christopher (Ginny) Capoccia, Amy (Jay) Whitney, Anna (John) Moscatiello, Sarah (Nick) Pazzaglia, Daniel (Katie) Capoccia, Matthew (Maryann) Capoccia, David (Ema) Capoccia, Rebecca (Todd) Stern; great-grandchildren, Marissa, Kieran, Sadie, Juliette and Gemma. Friends may call 2-5 pm, Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd) Gahanna. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054. Celebrant Fr. Jerome P. Rodenfels.
