Anthony A. Serio

Anthony A. Serio, 82 of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2012. Tony was born on September 26, 1929, to the late Antonio and Anna Serio. His oldest sister, Carmela (Serio) Westhoff passed away in Bristol, PA, within hours of his passing. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rose Anne (Saunders) Serio, sister Fran (Serio) Shea of Bristol, PA, brother Pete Serio of Tarpon Springs, FL, daughters Janet Serio (Chuck), Jean Serio (Lon), Becky (Serio) Schwinn (Dave), Peggy (Serio) Mulligan (Patrick), son Tony Serio, Jr., ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his sister, Lena Serio. Tony was a well respected masonry contractor for 40 years, and retired in 1989. He was a long-time member of Maple Grove United Methodist church. Tony loved gardening, cooking Italian foods, and most of all, his family. Although we will miss him greatly, we know that he is with his family members that have gone before him. Friends may call from 2pm-5pm on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N High St., Worthington, where services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11am. Pastor Rev. Glenn Schwerdtfeger officiating. Interment at Kingwood Memorial Park.
