This is Melody, an old neighbor to your parents when they first moved to Columbus. You both were young and probably don't remember me. Debbie was older. 

I am still saddened by your loss. Your parents were the best people I have known in my life and I am now 70 years old. 

Funny story, when we were neighbors and had an old VW beetle for sale, your dad called and asked, "do you need an exterminator? I saw you had a bug for sale!" Lol

After 53 years, I still miss them! They were always good in every way possible! I know it has not been easy for you, May God richly bless you both.

I look forward to that glorious day in Heaven when I will see them and Debbie again!

 I can not even imagine the heart ache  you both are going through.
But keep in mind you have 2 angles watching over you and and Sharon, And all the grand kids and G. Grand kids.

And  know that god has give them a new whole body.
No more Hurt no pain.

I have known them for 53 years. Your Mom and I  lived next door to one another. When they came to Columbus from Arkansas .

Your mom and I worked together at the White Castle, where she met your Dad.

I was there when she  had all 3 of you kids,
and she was their when I had all 4 of mine.

I had never had smashed potato salad before I met your dad.
He would say, "Come On Bev  get yourself some tater salad".

I can still hear him  telling me that.

And your mom would say," He's so silly".

Your mom took me to my first  concert,
to see Elvis.
It   was a blast. 
So try to  think of the good times, I know it will be hard, but  ask God  to help you through all of this.
I love you dearly.

My condolences on your tragic loss they certainly did not deserve this. They were kind and good people.

Gary and Sharon, I'm so sorry about your mom and dad. They were two of the sweetest people I've ever met. Every time I see a papa tree I think about you guys coming out and all of us going 'papa hunting'. Those were the good times. We're all going to miss them. Arlie and Charlene were my dearest friends in this whole world. I don't know if we will
ever recover from losing them. I will just try to think about all the good times we had together. The camping , fishin in Arkansas. and meeting Charlene great family. Lije

Site didn't print half of what I said but thats okay Sharon,Gary,Harold & Norman I love you guys so much and my heart bleeds for you. Just know how very much you were loved by Charlene and Arlie and at any time all you have to do is just look inside your self and find it there, because LOVE NEVER DIES. God is taking care of them now, so now is the time to take care of yourselves.

It was an honor and a blessing to have known and to have loved Charlene and Arlie. I will miss their laughter and honest downhome hospitality. I was never once in their home when I did not feel at home. Their goodness and kindness and sense of humor will not be forgotten. I find some comfort in knowing that daddy now has his best friend with him,to laugh with and share their special kind of humor that he and Arlie had. Sharon,Gary,Harold

Our hearts go out to the whole Horn and Johnson family. 2 very well loved lives taken from all of us. They will be deeply missed.

These two will be dearly missed. They were more than cousins they were friends. Charlene always had a hug for you, and Arlie could make you smile no matter the situation. They will live in our hearts forever.

This is so unbelieveable. We have known the family for over 30 years. They are the kindest people. Caring loving and giving. Charlene with the greatest voice. I loved talking to her just to hear her voice. She is so matter of fact. Two of the most well loved people. I will say they are TOGETHER IN LOVE, TOGETHER IN LIFE AND TOGETHER IN ETERNITY.....My heart aches for them and Sharron & Gary and the kids. There are no words that can express our sorrow. May God give you strength in the days to come.

Charlene and Arlie were the sweetest, kindest, most gentle people I've ever met.  I've known them for almost 20 years and loved Charlene like she was part of my own family.    I'm so glad I was privileged enough to meet and get to know them.  Charlene cared so much for Arlie and was there to help him every minute of every day.  She was a very strong-hearted woman and had the patience of a Saint, even in the toughest of times.  God bless and watch over their children and grandchildren.  I just know they're square dancing in Heaven right now!  I love you both and will miss you tremendously!
