
Arthur C. Eberle age 67, a resident of Upper Arlington, died Monday, November 9, 2009. He was born September 26, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to the late August and Jessie Eberle. He grew up in Parma where he attended grade school and high school and was a graduate of OSU with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio and was a Research Engineer for Columbia Gas for thirty years before starting his own Consulting business, which he had for ten years. He had accomplished nine patents. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a life member of ARRL, Madison County Amateur Radio Association, AREN, and BMW Motorcycle Owners of America, Motorcycle Touring Network, Tandem Club (UK), The Cyclists Touring Club (UK). He was the former Chairman of the Board for Lutheran Campus Ministry at OSU, currently serving as Chairman of the Building Team at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Chairman of the Neighborhood Lighting Board of Upper Arlington. He loved machine shop work and made model engines, steam and gas. He built amateur radios and belonged to the Antique Radio Collectors Club. Along with his wife, Betty, he traveled to Europe and Nova Scotia, having biked over four thousand miles in the UK. Small towns and hardware stores were some of his passions along with classical music and chocolate. He is survived by his wife Betty of forty two years, daughter Linda (James) Bingham, two grandchildren Robert and Thomas, sister Judy (Robert) Moffatt. Family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Funeral service will be Friday at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2001 Northwest Blvd. Burial in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, West Liberty, OH at 2 PM.
