Audrey A. McClain

A funeral service for Audrey A. McClain, 49 of Newark, will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Audrey was born in Newark on October 13, 1962 to the late Roland Cunningham and Joann (Mummey) Hornyak. She passed away at her residence on September 25, 2012 while surrounded by her family.

Audrey was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed making ceramics and collecting snowmen. Spending time with her family was most important, especially spoiling her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, James W. McClain, Jr., whom she married on April 22, 1996; two daughters, Angela Rodman and Allison Rodman; sisters, Betty Wills, Sharon (Robert) Beightler, Karen (Royce) Kokensparger and Barbara (Jeffrey) Taylor; brother, Perry (Mary) Darkes; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Merle Rodman; and two half brothers, Russell and Johnny Cunningham.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
