Barbara J. Davidson

Barbara J. Davidson, 84, of Pickerington passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 in the comfort of her home. She was born on November 19, 1935 in Oneida, TN to the late Amon and Gussie (Cross) Duncan. Barbara proudly attended Cumberland College, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught elementary school until she started raising her family and later on served as a church secretary while her husband pastored. Barbara was a member of Jersey Baptist Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing cards and loved to travel. She always had a smile and a kind word even for strangers on an elevator. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Rev. Thomas "Don" Davidson; siblings, Belle Collins, Virgil Duncan, Vernon Duncan, Elmer Duncan, Jean Lester, Doris Brewster, and Betty Walker. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tom Davidson and David (Michelle) Davidson; grandsons, Joshua (Karisa) Davidson, Kai Davidson, and Dylan Davidson; great-grandsons, Paxton and Talan Davidson; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. A special thank you to Zusman Hospice and Barbara's aides, Angie Arnold, Donna Thomas, Faustina Owusu, and Jestina Witthans, for your loving care and support during this difficult time. Family will receive friends 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Jersey Baptist Church, 13260 Morse Road SW New Albany, OH 43054, where the funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm. Barbara will be laid to rest at Ryan Cemetery in Kentucky at a later time. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lottie Moon for International Missions through Jersey Baptist Church or to Zusman Hospice.
