Barbara Nan Gickler

Barbara N. Gickler, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 3, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born January 23, 1947 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Lemuel Elvin “Jigger” and Violet June Riebe Riggs.

She is survived by her loving sons: Brant and Sandy Schmitt, Chris and Tammy Gickler; devoted to her granddaughter, Olivia; sister-in-law Delores Riggs; nephew, David Riggs and his family; and “The Board”. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael L. Gickler; and brother Donald Riggs.

A devoted mom, grandma and friend, she will be missed by all who knew her. Barbara was a dedicated associate with Schoedinger Funeral Home for 20 years. She was an avid Buckeye fan, who loved to travel, and sit down to a game of cards.

Her family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington. Her Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 10am, Thursday, April 9, 2015, officiated by Andrew Hoover, Funeral Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
