Barbara Hackett

Born June 15, 1934 to Dorothy Reline Lehman and John Carl Lehman, Barbara is predeceased by her parents; the love of her life- her husband, John, and brothers-in-law, Chuck Farmer and Ed Low. Left to cherish her memory are sons and daughters-in-law, John and Julie and Michael and Catherine; grandson, A.J.; sisters; Anita (Ron) Kelly; Johnetta (Billy) Collins, Carlye Farmer; Dottie Low; brother, Carl; brother-in-law; Pat Hackett; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and grand kitties, Cosmo, Liberty and Hannah.

Barb enriched the lives of many during her 25 years as office manager at Education 1st Credit Union. She was passionate about education and served as room mother, PTA President, and volunteer extraordinaire at her boys' schools. She also served as VP of Columbus Council of PTA's. Barb never met a stranger and opened her heart and home to all.

She was a beacon of light and lived by example. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.), Gahanna, OH. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at the New Albany United Methodist Church, 20 3rd St., New Albany, OH 43054, Pastor Frank Luchsinger, officiating. Interment at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
