Barbara Ann Kendall

Barbara Ann Kendall, age 81 of Gahanna, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. Barbara was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey and grew up in Beverly, New Jersey, only child of the late David and Estelle Pettit. Barbara graduated from Burlington High School and went on to graduate from New Jersey College for Women of Rutgers University. She met her future husband while at Rutgers. She was a strong, caring woman with a heart of gold. The wife of an Air Force retiree, Barbara was always very supportive of her husband's military and flight test careers. Barbara retired from American Electric Power. She was a member of the Columbus Area Military Wives Club, AEP retiree club, and Mifflin Presbyterian Church. Following retirement, Barbara enjoyed traveling extensively around the world. Barbara enjoyed being not only a wife and mother, but especially a grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 61 years, Andrew W. Kendall; children, Andrew "Drew" Kendall, Jr. and Carol Ann Webb; grandchildren, Taylor (Jason) Whitcomb, Christienne Kendall, Erin and Christopher Webb; great granddaughter, Bennett Whitcomb; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Mifflin Presbyterian Church, 123 Granville St., Gahanna.
