Barbara Tegue Savage

Barbara was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 12, 1959 to Robert Teague, Jr. and the late Eleanor Adolph. She grew up in Reynoldsburg and graduated from Walnut Ridge High School before attending Bowling Green State University where she received a B.S. in Chemistry. She continued her education at The Ohio State University and graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry. Barbara worked as an optometrist at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center.

A member of Zion Christian Fellowship, she was committed to church and family worshipping the Lord and completing His purpose for her with tenacity and conviction. She and her husband, Tim, met during their involvement with music ministries which included work in area hospitals; together they traveled the US and abroad.

In addition to her husband Tim, she is survived by her daughters Ella and Anya; father Robert Teague, Jr. and his wife Barbara Ann; brothers Robert Lee (Amy) Teague III and Richard Edward (Julie) Teague; nieces and nephew Amanda, Olivia, Ellie and Nick; brother-in-law Geoffrey (Blanca) Savage; father and mother-in-law David and Carolyn Savage;step siblings Ross(Jen) Boring, Kathleen (Tim) Knipp, Brenda (Marshall) Fisher,Winifred (Jeff) Hafner; aunt Marie Horton; cousin Bruce (Renate) Horton; and cousin Maryworth Crouch. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by uncle and aunt Worth and Betty Crouch.

Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM with Pastor Jim Baker officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse at samaritanspurse.org.
