Barbara Fay Smith

Barbara Fay Smith, 79, of Columbus, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at her home. She was born March 23, 1931 in Bardstown, KY to the late William and Edna Devers. She was a resident for the past seven years at Restoration Plaza Retirement Home and attended Sharon Woods Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, went to movies with friends, played Bingo and loved the Friday morning bake sales. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will never be forgotten. She is preceded in death by her husband Isaac Robert Smith, daughter Katrina Webb, son Dewey Smith, siblings Patricia De St. Jean, Cecelia Chesser and Edwin Devers. She is survived by children Alice (Sherry) Kreemer and her husband Danny, Patricia Coffee, Robert Smith and his wife Sue and Twila Wheeler, son-in-law Steve Webb, brother William Devers, sister Desi Ann Evans, eighteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270) where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM.
