Barbara Stradley

Barbara T. Stradley, 87, of Upper Arlington, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011. She was born August 2, 1923 in Cincinnati to the late Robert and Sara (Rinehart) Thornberry. She attended Ohio Wesleyan Universtiy where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Monnett Club. She was a member of The OSU Presidents Club and Faculty Club, Scioto Country Club, a former Girl Scout Leader and the Lucky Lady Investment Club. She was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She is preceded in death by her husband David C. Stradley. She is survived by three children Sara (Dean) Tucker, Atlanta, GA, Daniel (Deborah) Stradley, Grove City and Jane (Michael) Poe, Upper Arlington; five grandchildren, Ann Morley, Jonathan Tucker, Tyler, Adam, Nicholas and Sarah Poe; five great-grandchildren Lydia Morley, Alex, Cody, Hunter and Abigail Poe. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Monday, May 23, 2011 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Rd. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.
