Barbara S. Tootle

Barbara S. Tootle, 78, of Dublin, passed away on March 19, 2017. She was born on July 28, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio to John and Miriam (Lavelle) Schartz. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother John. Barbara attended the North Broadway United Methodist Church. An avid golfer, Barbara was asked to join the first OSU women's golf team. She worked for many years as a physical therapist and started a rehabilitation program for prisoners at the Ohio Penitentiary. Barbara will be deeply missed by her husband of 52 years Donald O. Tootle; children Timothy (Janice), Thomas, and Tammi Tootle; grandchildren Joseph and Jacob; sister Martha (Richard) Poland; and brother Charles (Judy) Schartz. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. Her funeral will be held at 10:30am Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the North Broadway United Methodist Church, 48 East North Broadway, Columbus. Burial will follow at Dublin Cemetery.
