Barbara Vogel

Barbara is survived by her loving family, children; James Vogel, Chris (Elaine) Vogel, Steve Vogel, Mark Vogel, and Sheri Vogel, sister, Deanna (Tom) Mitchell, and brother, David Lay along with many other dear family and friends.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by, significant other, James Murray and sister-in-law, Joyce Lay.

Barbara was an extraordinary woman whose greatest joy in life was her family. Her children will always cherish the countless school events and football games she attended, where her enthusiastic support and encouragement never wavered.

Barbara found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending quiet mornings reading the newspaper, especially the humorous advertisements, and loved spending hours outdoors caring for her yard. One of her favorite pastimes was shopping, particularly browsing the shelves at Barnes & Noble, followed by a well-earned slice of cheesecake.

She was deeply committed to her community and generously gave her time to many local and church activities. Whether organizing pizza drives or hosting the Vogel's beloved annual Christmas party, a tradition that many looked forward to all year, Barbara brought people together with her warmth and dedication.

Barbara worked as the head of Franklin County Board of Revision, where she faithfully served for many years. She later worked as the office manager at Integrity Appraisal until her retirement.

A devoted animal lover, Barbara opened her heart and home to seven rescue cats throughout her life, caring for each with great love and compassion.

Barbara's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and community will be remembered always. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the St Jude Hospital or SPCA in her memory.
