

Barbara Ann Wooten, age 80, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2018. She was born on October 24, 1938 in Mowrystown, OH to the late Henry and Lauretta (Fender) Young. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Lonnie "Lee". She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Wooten-Capuano, Tamara (Thomas) Brown, Lisa Wooten, and Crystal (Richard) Gessells; grandchildren Jodi, Danielle (Josh), Jessie (Jerm), Patti (Joshua), Lonnie (Anna), Rikki, Maddie (Oscar); step grandchildren Michael, Eric, Nikki, Dawn, Thomas, Sean, Shane; great-grandchildren Starr, Jordan, Kayleigh, Jaedon, Kassidy, Aleah, Oakley, Shaelyn, Jaxson, Skylar, and Ivy; and many step great-grandchildren, including Mikkayla, Alonna, Liam, and Ava. Barb graduated from Mowrystown High School, after which she went on to graduate from Bliss College. She worked for many years as a buyer for Gold Circle Stores, then went on to retire from the OSU Fisher College of Business after years of dedicated work there. Barbara will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed square dancing, bowling, fishing, riverboat gambling, and loved OSU football and basketball. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4 - 8 PM at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will follow on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10 AM.
