Lynda went to Middlesex Community College from 1979-1981. She began her professional career in banking, where Marketing became her area of expertise. Over the years she worked for numerous organizations: 1990-1995 Corporate Direct Marketing @ Bank One (Columbus, OH); 1995-1998 Assistant Vice President, Direct Marketing Manager @ First Commerce Corp (New Orleans, LA); 1998-2000 Assistant Vice President, Direct Marketing Manager @ One Valley Bank (Charleston, WV); 2000-2005 Vice President, Direct Marketing Director @ BB&T (Winston Salem, NC); 2005-2009 Vice President, Customer Contact Director @ National City Bank (Cleveland, OH); 2010-2012 Senior Marketing Manager, Direct Marketing / 2012-2015 Director Marketing Strategy and Analytics @ RBC (Raleigh, NC); and 2015-2020 Direct Marketing Specialist @ Valvoline (Lexington, KY).
Lynda had a big heart, willing to help anyone in need without question. She was an avid foodie and an amazing cook, inspired by her mother Rena Allen. She loved cooking and baking for and with family and friends. Lynda was active in the LGBTQIA communities where she lived and was a strong believer in equal rights for all. She loved to travel to experience new places and of course she would always find a unique spot for a spectacular meal. Lynda had a passion for musicals, being particularly fond of Stephen Sondheim, and often hit up Broadway for a show or two (on the same day!) when younger and living in Boston, a worthwhile drive or train ride to the Big Apple. Later in life she would visit New York whenever she had the opportunity, to revisit Broadway and city. She had an affinity for the arts and actively supported the arts in the communities in which she lived. She was also a big animal lover, having many dogs and cats over the years. Most of all, she loved being around and enjoying laughter amongst friends and family.
Lynda is survived by her brother David Krasno, nieces Zoë and Emma Krasno, uncle Henry Garfinkle and step-sister Sheri Allen and step-uncle Phil Allen as well as cousins, step-cousins and the many friends she had known over the years. She will be loved and missed by all. Lynda, may your soul be at peace.
