Ben M. Kramer

Ben M Kramer, "Dad, Grandpa Ben", 84 of Westerville, Ohio was promoted to glory on January 6 2017. Ben was born in Mansfield, Ohio on March 15, 1932. He graduated from Bexley High School in Bexley Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Industrial Design. He married Ruth Eunice Chidester on June 10, 1955. Ben worked in the family owned business, Kramer Paints. He became president of the company when his father suddenly passed. The business operated for 65 years. Ben was actively involved as a Deacon at Grace Brethren Church for many years. He also supported home missions donating his time and painting materials for building churches in Alaska and Florida. Ben was a long term member of the Builders Exchange and created the Ben W. Kramer Scholarship through the Builders Exchange Foundation. Ben also anonymously donated wigs for cancer patients. Ben was preceded in death by his father and mother Benjamin W. and Julia M Kramer and his wife of 61 years Ruth C Kramer. Ben is survived by children Douglas, Cynthia and Bradley; grandchildren Aaron, Hannah, Dan and Katie. A funeral service will be held Friday 11:00am at GRACE CHURCH of POWELL, 7600 Liberty Rd. N Powell, OH. Visitation will be held Thursday 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of 270). Interment Glen Rest Cemetery.
