Benjamin Rudolph Lionel Macauley, age 55, died Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home. He was born August 11, 1959 to the Ruben and Elizabeth (Johnson) Macauley in Sierra Leone. Benjamin currently worked at The Ohio State University Hospital. He is survived by wife, Festine Thorpe; children, Benjamin and Hilda Macauley; step-daughter, Hannah Macauley; siblings, Nicholas, Ruben, John and Phebean Macauley; nephews Simeon and Dalton John, Israel Macauley, Melbourne and Denton Thomas; nieces, Gifty, Rosaline, Jennifer, Reubina, Ruby, Sheila, Lisa, Vera and Cyrilia. A funeral service will be held at NOON on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Broad Street United Methodist Church, 501 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. A reception will follow the funeral service at 1212 Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio.
