

Dr. Bernard A. “Bernie” Bronczyk, age 81 of Upper Arlington, passed away September 6, 2023. Bernie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, son of the late Henry and Gertrude Bronczyk. Also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anita Laurin, brother, Hank Bronczyk, and sister, Henrietta Bronczyk. Bernie graduated with his Undergraduate Degree from Shippensburg State College, then from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He worked as a physician throughout his career primarily in Family Medicine. He retired in 2007. Bernie was a collector of many things from stamps, to coins, to buttons, to antiques, you name it, he collected it. He passed out business cards for “Bernie’s Collectables”. Bernie had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and it was contagious. He was a good sport and loved to have fun. He had the patience of a saint. He was honest. Bernie could fix just about anything or at least try and he loved teaching. Bernie didn’t know a stranger, loved to talk to anyone and everyone. He was devoted to his family. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Tina (George) Lopez and Kim Driscoll; grandchildren, Benjamin and Ella Lopez and Jessica and Cameron Driscoll; sister, Bernadette Parker; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life Reception from 1-3 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
