Bernard Ray Hickman

Bernard Ray Hickman, Sr., age 59, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, February 9, 2018 at home. Bernard was born in Martin Co., Kentucky on October 6, 1958 to Everett and Anna Gerturde (Sweeney) Hickman. He worked many years in construction under Local Union #423. Bernard was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Bernard will be remembered for having a big heart and never meeting a stranger. He loved being able to see his family everyday as they were the most important part of his life. Preceded in death by his father, Everett Hickman; brothers, Everett and Eddie Hickman. Survived by his wife, Patty Hickman; mother, Anna Gerturde Hickman; children, Bernie Hickman, Whisper Webb, Beth (Shawn Salmons) Hickman, Misty (Richard Rakes) Sowers, Brandon, Brandy and Bradley Hickman; 13 grandchildren; siblings Herman, James, Debbie, George and Tammy; many other relatives. Family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W.
