Beth M. Florio

Beth M. Florio, 85, resident of Dublin Retirement Village, Dublin, OH died Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Born in Greensburg, PA to James Morgan and Bessie (Free) Mayhew. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Jo Shields and husbands; Alfred Robert Florio, 36 years and Donald Lee Morris, 14 years. She earned a BA from Ohio University and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Beth was a 52 year member of P.E.O. sisterhood and a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso, Indiana. Beth was an adventurist who loved life and approached it with a smile and positive spirit. She adored spending time with family and friends. Some of her passions included traveling, camping, enjoying the arts, playing games and bridge, and volunteering at the Porter County Memorial Hospital. She was dearly loved by her family and friends who will cherish the many wonderful memories shared together. Survived by daughters; Gwynith (Robert) Ropp, Donna (David) Cornwell; step-sons, Bob (Marla) Florio and Samuel Florio; grandchildren, Patrick (Lindsey) Ropp, Mary (Lynlee) Ropp, Thomas Ropp, Sarah (Josh) Kitchen, Jeremy (Shauna) Cornwell, Andrew (Elaine) Cornwell, and Emma Florio; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Friends and family may visit Friday, September 25, 2020 from 4-6pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Guests are required to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure the safety for everyone attending. There will be a Celebration of Life Service outdoors Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:30am at 5038 Lukens Rd, Grove City, Ohio with a graveside service to directly follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/) or the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org/)
