

Community, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Gowrie, IA on March 21, 1922. She
was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Herman and Minnie Swanson
Blomgren and sister Faith Blomgren Storey. Beth is survived by her loving husband of
69 years, Robert J. Quist; sons, John (Marilyn) Quist, David (Donna) Quist all of Dublin,
OH; grandchildren, Erin (Phil) Vestal of Manhattan, IL, Garret Quist, of Ithaca, NY, Dr.
Brian (Marta) Quist of Salem, NH, Michael Quist of Dublin, OH; five great-grandchildren,
Timothy and Elliot Vestal, Zofia, Lilia and Anna Quist; nieces and nephews, Judy
(Eldon) Bohrofen, of Fort Meyers, FL, Jane (Jim) Palmer of Oak Ridge, TN, Jim (Diane)
Buchanan, Bill (Kathryn) Buchanan all of Davis, CA; several great nieces and nephews,
cousins and friends.
Mrs. Quist graduated from Iowa State University in Home Economics in 1944. She was
a member of Mortar Board and Phi Upsilon Omicron. She taught high school home
economics in Rockwell City and Fort Dodge, IA after graduation. She also taught
courses in textiles at the University of Minnesota from 1952 - 1954, and several adult
classes in tailoring and sewing. Mrs. Quist was an active member of All Saints Lutheran
Church since 1977 and served on numerous committees over the years. She was also
a dedicated member of several community organizations: PEO - Chapter CU, Chapters
of AHEA (American Home Economics Association) in Minneapolis, MN, Houston, TX
and Columbus, OH. She held offices and served on many committees in these
organizations.
Mr. and Mrs. Quist enjoyed sharing their summer home on Round Lake in Nisswa, MN
for years with family and many friends. Through the years, they saw many parts of the
world together on various trips.
A memorial service in celebration of Beth's life will be held at 11:00 on Saturday,
September 30, 2017 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N. High St., Worthington, OH
43085. A luncheon at the church will follow immediately after the service. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N.
