Betty L. Adams

Betty passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Mount Carmel West Hospital with her loving family by her side. Betty was born in Gallipolis, Oh. , on July 17, 1942, to the late Isaiah Gates and Maxine Bunce.

Betty loved life and was one to always lend a hand to those in need. She was an advocate for the Special Olympics and was always giving back to her community. Betty touched the hearts of countless people with her love towards those less fortunate, and she never met a stranger. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend she will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children; Patty (Jim) Herdlicka of Tx., Kathryn Adams of Columbus, Daren (Betsy Finelli) Adams of Pataskala, Debra (John)Thompson of Pataskala, Bobby Adams of Columbus, Buddy Adams of Columbus. Grandmother of Jennifer, Abbey, Katie, Jody, Cody, Tyler, Brock, and, Cody; great grandmother of; Zoey, Jaylyn, Isaiah, Austin, Aireanna; sister of Doris Barr of Johnstown, and Eddie Gates of Georgia, She is also survived by her loving pets; Harley and Sassy.

Along with her parents Betty is preceded in death by her Brother Tom Gates; sister, Janie Gates. In lieu of flowers of Contributions may be made to Central Ohio area on Aging. 174 E. Long St., Columbus, Ohio 43215 in her name. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 Livingston Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43232.
