Betty Ruth Bond passed away peacefully from this life the morning of January 15, 2020. She was surrounded and supported by family during the last days of her life. Betty was born in 1944 in Urbancrest Ohio to Lafayette and Jesse Mae Lipscomb.
Betty attended Columbus Public Schools. She also attended Ohio State University, where she studied literature. Betty volunteered at the literacy council of Franklin county, where she taught adults to read. She retired from American Red Cross and Franklin County Residential Services. She was an active, no nonsense, loving Mother at United Word Ministry. Betty loved and cherished her family and friends dearly. Betty had such a big heart and she helped many that was in need. No matter if someone needed prayer, somewhere to lay their head, to be a listening ear, or a word of encouragement was needed, she was there. Those who really knew Betty, called her "Diva" for her many stylish 4-6 inch high heel shoes and fancy clothes. Betty loved to dress and be pampered. She will be truly missed by many.
