Betty S. Conley

Betty S. Conley, 84 of Columbus, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at home.

She was born in Danville, Virginia on December 24, 1929.

Betty is survived by her brother Robert Scearce (Inez), sister, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Haynes, nephew, Doug Scearce(Joyce), niece Shirley Haynes, niece, Brenda Haynes, nephew, E.C. Haynes, daughters, Linda Hovatter and Kathy Mogavero, grandson, Michael Calderone (Tracie), granddaughter, Stephanie Rahrig (Mikey), great grandchildren, Isabella Calderone, Gianna Calderone, Harper Rahrig, Hudson Rahrig and her sweet little dog, Holly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Scearce, sister, Barbara Saunders, brother, Woodrow “Woody” Scearce, brother, Wilbert Hoover Scearce, her husband Roy C. Conley; and great-grandson Anthony Michael Calderone.

Betty enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Betty had a passion and talent for gardening and sewing and enjoyed sharing her knowledge by teaching her skills to others. She loved to tell stories and laugh. She was loved immensely and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

In keeping with the wishes of Betty, there will be no funeral services.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Worthington Chapel.
