Betty Jane Elkins

Betty Jane Elkins, age 89, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was born in Newark, Ohio on May 16, 1922 to the late Oman and Coila (Mooney) Irvin. She was a graduate of West High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Aleshire; and granddaughter, Lonna Aleshire Sunkel. She is survived by her sons, Lonny (Donna) Aleshire and Daniel (Jo Ellen) Aleshire; grandchildren, Lonny Joe (Susan) Aleshire, Jr., Jennie Aleshire and Jonathan Aleshire; great grandchildren, Joshua, Faith, Caleb and Luke. Betty enjoyed sewing and cake decorating and was a wonderful cook. She will be remembered as a wonderful lady who was kind to everyone. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday. April 24, 2012 at 1:00PM with visitation one hour prior at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Pastor Gary Reiss, Pastor Lonny Aleshire and Dr. Daniel Aleshire officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
