Betty Spring Gorman

Betty was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School and Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta and Orchesis Dance Honorary.

She was a member of St. Mark��s Episcopal Church, the Columbus Chapter of the D.A.R.-Golden Wheel, the Columbus Museum of Art, Board V Childhood League, and Scioto Country Club.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Walter Thomas Gorman. Betty will be missed by her son, Thomas Wood Gorman of Fort Collins, CO; daughter, Margaret “Peggy” (Steven) Gorman Williams of Upper Arlington; four grandchildren, Katherine, David and Erin Williams and Lauren Gorman.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m on Friday, November 1st at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Rd., Columbus, OH 43221, The Rev. Paul St. Germain, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s disease Center, Searle Bldg. 11th floor, 320 E. Superior, Chicago, IL 60611, Attn: Kevin Connolly or the Flower Guild of St. Mark’s Church.
