Betty Jean Heins

Betty J. Heins, 89, of Reynoldsburg passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was born on October 9, 1927 in South Shore, KY. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, member of Temple Israel, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie R. Phelps. Survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Bert Heins; sons, Brian (Virginia) Heins and David (Lisa) Heins; grandchildren, Cory, Brady, and Kierston Heins; dear friends, Marlene and Arky Carne, Helen and her late husband Jim Herbert, Dolores and Jimmy Corrova; many other dear friends and extended family. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (Temple Israel section), at Taylor Station Rd and E. Broad St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014 for Parkinson's research.
