Betty Mosby, age 75, of Columbus, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, with her husband, family and friends by her side. She was born on September 22, 1935, in Fayetteville, TN. Betty was a graduate of West End High School and the University of Dayton. She retired from Mount Carmel East Hospital after 25 stellar years of service. She often shared stories about her “ER” days at Mount Carmel East and the many (still supportive) friends she made over the years. Betty met no strangers and always left her “strong, quiet print” on people’s heart. In 1953 Betty moved to Dayton, OH, and married Gene Thomas. They had one son, Mark, who was her absolute “joy”. In 1972 Betty married Sebert and moved to Columbus in 1972. They enjoyed spending time with each other, travelling extensively and enjoying life to its fullest. Betty retired from Mount Carmel East Hospital after 25 years of service. Leaving behind to cherish her memory is her loving, dedicated caretaker and devoted husband, Sebert Mosby; son, Mark Thomas (Tangela), Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Joe Bonner, Columbus, OH and Walter Armstrong, Anderson, AL; one sister, Bernice Armstrong, Dayton, OH; favorite cousin, William Bonner, Chicago, IL; nephew, Christopher Bonner, Columbus, OH; nieces and nephews from the Thomas family; two grandchildren, Stacy Thomas and Mark Thomas, Jr.; five great-grandsons, Donte Haley, Jr., Jordan Haley, Kaden Haley, Kameron Haley and Marquan Thomas all of Columbus, OH; other relatives and dedicated friends. The memorial service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011, at 12:00PM, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Please no flowers. At Betty’s request, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mount Carmel Hospice. Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a favorite memory of Betty.
