

Betty Jean Oliver (Parmer) born at home January 23, 1925, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Orville O Oliver; parents Grace and Homer Parmer; siblings Roy, Charles, Robert, and Elsie (Haley). Betty grew up on a farm in Circleville before employment at Capital Manufacturing Company in Columbus. She met her husband Orville at work and they were married on January 28, 1947. She became a full-time homemaker and mother until his death in 1975. Betty subsequently worked at a local buffet center followed by employment for 10 years at Pleasant View High School. Betty was an active member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church, for many years and volunteered as a member of numerous committees and church fundraisers. During her lifetime she was an excellent seamstress. Betty loved to crochet, camp, play cards, Tole paint, garden, and spend time with family. Prior to her death, Betty resided at Otterbein Skilled Nursing Home in Springboro, Ohio where she was lovingly cared for by staff. She is survived by her daughter Patricia L. (Richard) Dyer; son Jack D. Oliver (Pam); grandchildren Janelle Forbes, Jessica Madliger (Tyson), and Adam Oliver (Jessica); great-grandchildren Camdyn Madliger, Finley Madliger, Torin Madliger, and Joey Forbes. A Private Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Schoedinger Grove City 3920 Broadway Grove City OH 43123 followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Betty's name to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties 5940 Long Meadow Drive Middletown, OH 45005
