Betty M. Overton

Betty M. Overton, 79 of Heath, passed away on June 3, 2012 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born in Lawrence County, Indiana on January 18, 1933 to the late Virgil and Elsie (Wood) Workman.

Betty was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, fishing, watching the Cincinnati Reds, LA. Dodgers and was an avid Indiana Hoosier and Ohio State Buckeye fan.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Maharg of Newark, Mark (Tammy) Overton of Utica and Bobby Overton of Newark; brothers, Jim (Dot) Workman and Paul (Barbara) Workman; grandchildren, Roger Maharg Jr., James Overton Jr., Ryan Maharg, Amy Overton, Mandy Overton, Jennifer Overton and Kelly Overton; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, James Overton Jr. and numerous brothers and sisters.
