

Betty L. Pennington, age 93, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Oakleaf Village in Columbus, Ohio. Betty was born on October 29, 1917 in Youngstown, Ohio; she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Alice Price. Betty was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Pennington; son, Richard Pennington; and brother, Jack Price. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ennis; grandchildren, Kristina Ennis, Erin Ennis and Heather, Michael and Randy Pennington and 4 great grandchildren, Renat, Arlo, Alayna and Zoe. Betty was co-owner with husband, James, of Williams Furniture Store in New Philadelphia, Ohio. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), Mayflower Society and of Northwest United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her time with her singing group, Singing Neighbors, using their musical talents at local senior centers. Betty was very active and had a social schedule that kept her busy. A memorial service for Betty will be on January 8th at First United Methodist Church in Dover, Ohio. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park, Dover, Ohio.
