

A funeral service for Betty Lou Rogers of Heath will be held Thursday June 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Wiles, Pastor Cynthia Cross and Rev. Don Miller officiating. Interment will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Betty was born in Chickenville Hill on July 16, 1942 to the late Karl Wilson and Emma Louise (Sprague) Roffey. She died Thursday June 2, 2011 at the Autumn Healthcare. She was 68 years old.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Rogers Jr., his son David Frank Rogers of Middletown, her sister Shirley Roffey of Newark, her brother Jim Roffey of Marne and her niece Sue Ann (Herman Farson Jr) of Thornville. Betty and Thomas attended the Linwood Baptist church and theFull Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Pentecostal Church. She was a member of the Chatterbox Club, DAV Chapter #23, American Legion Post #85, AARP, NARF, the Licking County Camping Society and the Good Sam Club #24.
Betty owned Betty’s Stitchery and was a seamstress by trade; she loved camping and hiking in many parts of America.
