Betty Jane Rusch

Betty Jane Cassidy Rusch, age 88, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala, OH. She was born on May 7, 1928 in Kingsport, TN to the late Alden L. and Hettie Marie Light. Betty was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN. She worked for The Ohio State University as a Central Receiving file clerk retiring in 1990 after 25 years. She also worked part time at Meyers Jewelers for many years. She loved to laugh, country music, dance, travel, and enjoyed life. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bernie L. Hunt of Lexington, SC; brother, Harold L. Light of Columbus, OH; first husband, Earl E. Cassidy of Kingsport, TN; second husband, Eugene G. Rusch of Columbus, OH. Betty is survived by her loving children, Mary Kathryn (Tom) Seng and Eric Cassidy; grandchildren, Abby (Jason) Orkis; Amanda Cassidy, and Tyler Cassidy; great-grandchild, Maddox Cassidy; step-children, Kenneth (Nancy) Rusch, Donald (Linda) Rusch, and Deborah Rusch. Her family would like to thank all staff members of Tuscany Gardens for the loving care for the last 3 ¾ years. Also, Tridia Hospice for their loving care. Friends may call on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 11:00AM-1:00PM with funeral service following at 1:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. Pastor Michael Parsley officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester, Ohio.
