Betty L Woods

Elizabeth "Betty" Woods, age 82, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 after a hard fought battle with COPD. She was born May 1, 1934 in Columbus. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Lena Matacia (nee Reynolds), husbands Harold Pierson, Robert Cunningham and Ovid "Woody" Woods, "sweetie" Ernie Spencer, son Steven Cunningham. Betty is survived by son Roy (Heather) Pierson, sister Joanne (Harrison) Rhodes, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She retired from Ranco Inc. in 1979. At the request of the decedent, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Rd. at 10 AM. SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL is assisting the family. The family wishes to express gratitude for the excellent and compassionate care provided by Mount Carmel Hospice and Columbus Colony Elderly Care. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice or St. Matthias.
