Beverly A. Leake, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Beverly was born on May 22, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, to Harry and Betty Zuckerman. She retired from the Franklin County Public Defenders' Office after many years of dedicated service. Beverly enjoyed bingo, reading, shopping, and was an active member of the residential council at Embassy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, John and Jerry; and her brother, Flint Zuckerman. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jack Leake Sr.; son, Jack Leake II; grandson, Mark (Amber) Leake; great-grandchildren, Khloe, DJ, and Jason; niece, Jennifer (Terry) Williams, and their children, Terry and Hannah; sisters, Carol (Kenny) Lyday, Joetta Ramsey, Marlene (Steve) Moore, and Nancy (Jeff) Kemp; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whom she cherished. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at Advantage by Schoedinger Hilltop Funeral Service, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204, where the funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
