Beverly A. Neely, age 69, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020. She was born on January 29, 1951 in London, Ohio to Morris and Mary Lou Neely. Beverly graduated from London High School Class of 1971 and Nationwide Beauty Academy. Beverly was a licensed Beautician and was a restaurant manager for several years. She was the general manager for both Burnie's Bagel's Deli and Izzy's Delicatessen. Beverly had the ability draw you in with her smile and quick wit and casual conversation. Her love for food, good people and an exciting atmosphere would constantly display her flare for hospitality and kindness and outstanding customer service. She would light up a room and take control with her charismatic personality. She was affectionately known as Ms. Bev to all the kids in the neighborhood and most of her friends. She was a "Mother" to all. Ms. Bev taught life lessons to anyone, young or old who were willing to listen. Ms. Bev never claimed to have all of the answers but was always willing to offer sound thought provoking advice on what she did know. She was hardworking and dedicated in raising her children. She was loved and respected by everyone she associated with; Bev never knew a stranger. Her golden rule was "treat people how you want to be treated", and it showed in every aspect of her life. Beverly loved good music and was the President of the Columbus Lionel Richie Fan Club. She believed and always said that "Music soothes the savage beast", it clears your head heals your heart and lifts your spirits. You knew it was time to get up and clean when she put on Motown records on Sunday mornings. Ms. Bev was kind, generous, and fierce when she needed to be. She was the type of person that seemed to be worth knowing rather than be well known. She never sugar coated anything and always told you the truth even if you didn't want to hear it. She will be terribly missed.
Preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Jasmine. Survived by her husband, Harry L. Wallace; children, Angela Neely, John "Lee" Neely, Howard Neely, and Harry (Jackie) Neely; grandchildren, Amber, Arron, Ocean, Giovanni, Camarah, Isaiah, Keyykeyy , Rayne, Sylis, and Andrew; great grandchildren, DJ, Cass, Deangelo, Marvon, Marquan and Zier; many other family members.
