Bezeairlu Brown Sr.

Born January 24, 1922, in Delhi, Louisiana, he was one of ten children of the late William and Cora (Alexander) Brown. Buzz was a hardworking man who enjoyed deep-sea fishing and proudly served in the U.S. Army.

Buzz worked for many years as a carpenter, where his dedication and skill earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He was known for fixing anything that needed repair. He believed there was always a solution if you were patient enough to find it.

Those who knew Buzz remember his warm smile, steady presence, and quiet wisdom. From an early age, he learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion—principles that guided him throughout his life. Even in his later years, he remained sharp-minded and deeply interested in the lives of those around him.

In addition to his parents, Buzz was preceded in death by his former wife and mother of his children, Maggie Brown; son, Clifford Brown; grandson, Cedric Brown; siblings, Bernice Starr, Murial Ray, Lewis Brown, Lawrence Brown, Lillian Titus, Willie Brown, Edward Brown, and Thelma Green.

He is survived by his son, Brezeairlu (Evelyn Jean) Brown; daughters, Delores (Jerry) Swayne, and Patricia Brown; daughter-in-law, Maryann Brown; sister, Suzarne Prescott; grandchildren, Brian (Nicole) Swayne, Paul (Katrina) Brown, Donna (Mark) Evans, Brandon Swayne, and Karen (Erin) Demory; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews that affectionately called him “Unc” or “Uncle B”.

Buzz’s century-long journey reminds us that a life well-lived is measured not only in years, but in love, service, and the countless small moments shared with others. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232, where the funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
