Billie Jean Woods

Billie Jean Woods, age 79, of Grove City passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010. Billie was born on September 6, 1931 in VanLear, KY; she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lucy Hyden. She is also preceded in death by her step-father, Benjamin Gaylord. Billie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James Woods; devoted children, Karen Morris, Deborah (Steven) Goble, Sandra (Marc) Mapel, Jamie (Jim) Sweeney and Michael (Dana) Woods; adored grandchildren, Aimee (Matthew), Bryan (Marcie), Jared, Cody, Scott, Shannon, Abbigail, Brianna and Catherine; great grandson, Noah; and beloved dog, Sadie. Billie was a School Bus Driver for Southwestern City Schools for 33 years before her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and bowling with her husband, Jim. Billie’s true joy was spending time with her family and cooking for her grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 2-5pm at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123; where funeral services will be on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 10am; Pastor Barbara Murray officiating.
