

Bobby Wayne Mitchell passed from this life on earth unexpectedly on November 8, 2011. He was born on March 27, 1942 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Charles Bernard Mitchell and Mella Branham Mitchell, both of whom are deceased.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his children; James D. Mitchell (wife – Julie) of Waukesha, WI; Dennis C. Mitchell (wife – Jocelyn) of Canton, CT; Jessica A. Rain (special companion – Melissa) of Longbeach, CA; Jennifer D. Shoemaker (special companion – Okey) of Columbus, OH; Jeremy K. Mitchell (wife – Judith) of Columbus, OH; Jacyln R. Mitchell of Pataskala, OH; Jonathan W. Mitchell (wife – Carrie) of Galloway, OH; Olivia L. Mitchell of Pataskala, OH; Angela L. Mitchell (special companion – Whitney) of Columbus, OH; and Julia A. Mitchell of Boca Raton, FL.
His grandchildren came first in his life, even above his work which his life was dedicated too. Those grandchildren are: Abigail and Noah Mitchell, Waukesha, WI; Whitney Brymwitt of Longbeach, CA; Harrison and Audrianna Mitchell of Canton, CT; Makayla Shoemaker and Tobechukwu Onyekwere of Columbus, OH; Joseph Mitchell of Columbus, OH; Christopher, Ashleigh, and Chandler Scalf (Step) ; Jade Mitchell of Pataskala, OH; Noel Little and Carter Mitchell of Galloway, OH (Step); Perseaus and Nadia Mitchell of Galloway, OH; Indigo and Victoria Mitchell of Pataskala, OH; Gavin Coulombe of Columbus, OH; Brock and Scarlett Walker of Columbus, OH; Bob found no greater joy in life than playing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Also surviving are Bob’s siblings: Elloween Branham (husband – Tan) of West Jefferson, OH; Thomas Branham (wife – Juanita) of Pataskala; Pearl Branham (husband – Noah) of Robinson Creek, KY; and Charles B. Mitchell, Jr. (wife - Patricia) of Robinson Creek, KY. Bob was predeceased by a younger brother James Isaac Mitchell formerly of Robinson Creek, KY.
Bob touched many people’s lives during his lifetime. Through his work in the sign industry he worked in every state of the U.S. He developed strong friendships that lasted throughout his career. His memories and accomplishments continue on and his close friends, Steve Ward and Nate Burton, continue to exalt and praise Bob.
Bob was a 1960 graduate of Virgie High School in Pike County, KY and attended the University of Kentucky and The Ohio State University where he studied chemistry. He worked in the electric sign industry for over 40 years and was the previous owner of Accurate Signs, Inc. in Columbus. Bob said he never would retire, that he wanted to work until he died because he loved to work and did not enjoy sitting still.
His hobbies included baseball, playing cards, golf, and reading. He was a generous man who was always willing to help others.

Viewings will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 from 5 pm-8pm, and Saturday November 12, 2011 from 1pm-2pm. A memorial funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday following the viewing at the Schoedinger Funeral Home, 1740 Zollinger Road. You may sign his online register at www.schoedinger.com
