

Clark was born on January 10, 1921 in New Albany to the late Boivin and Martha (Taylor) Ranney, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Sagar) Ranney in 2013 after 59 years of marriage, and siblings Ann Abbott and Ralph Ranney.
Surviving are children Brad (Margot) Ranney, Barry (Karen) Ranney and Lisa (Jon) Ellison; grandchildren Erin (Jon) Adler, Nicole (Zach) McMichael, Tyler Ranney and Kylie Ellison; great grandchildren Cash McMichael and Cadence McMichael; siblings Don, Hal, and Bob Ranney and Carrie McMillin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A 1939 graduate of New Albany High School, Clark attended The Ohio State University, worked briefly at North America Rockwell, and served in the US Air Force from 1942-45.
Clark retired in 1985 from the US Postal Service after 33 years as a mail carrier, where he was Gahanna's first "foot" mail carrier beginning in 1952. He enjoyed spending time and traveling with family, fishing, woodworking, watching his grandchildren play sports, listening to Cincinnati Reds baseball on the radio, following OSU sports, and bowling. He was a member of Mifflin Presbyterian Church, and the International Order of the Odd Fellows, Mifflin Lodge No. 518.
Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Ronald Lokhorst, on Thursday, February 7 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
