

Bonnie Jeanne DeCarlo, age 71 of Gahanna, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013. Bonnie was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late John Parker and Ester Lovena Horton. Also preceded in death by her brother, John (Dorothy) Horton. Bonnie was a longtime resident of Gahanna since 1964 and spent many weekends at “The Farm,” her family’s property located in Amesville, Ohio. Bonnie retired as an office manger for Patio Enclosure, Inc., was a member of a Bunco Club for more than 30 years and was also a Girl Scout leader. She was a very thoughtful and caring woman who always put others needs above her own and was always there to offer a hug, kiss, advice or support to anyone. She was a beloved wife, mother figure and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband with whom she shared her 50th wedding anniversary on January 12, 2013, Joseph Carmen DeCarlo; daughters, Shelley of Johnstown, Ohio and Sherry (David) Chase of Albany, Ohio; grandchildren, Cassie (Cameron) Benedict, Carrie and Kyle Wetherill, and Evan, Erica and Elaina Chase; son-in-law, Todd (Xinlan) Wetherill; sister, Marty (Don) Newman; best friend of 68 years, Sue Boals; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday.
