C. Earl Gibson

C. Earl Gibson, age 63, of Blacklick passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. Earl was born on August 14, 1947 in Columbus. Earl was preceded in death by his daughter, Celena Ann Gibson; father, William O. Gibson; mother, Christine (Jake) Jacobs; and sister, Rosie Whitmer. He is survived by his devoted son, Mark (Christy) Gibson of Lithopolis; grandsons, Bryant Long, Zachary Gibson and Gabriel Gibson; sisters, Lena Blackenship of Hudson, Florida and Sharon Mitchell of Columbus; along with his extended family the Blackman’s. Earl served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy on the USS Independence. He was the manager for Kelly BMW for 11years. Earl was a member of the Reynoldsburg VFW. Graveside service for Earl will take place on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 2pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213.
