Carl was born in Newark on April 14, 1933 to the Late Mark and Alice Edman. Carl proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. After the war Carl was involved with the Construction and Trucking industry for many years. For many years he was also associated with the Knox County Joint Veterans Council. He had a passion for horse. He could be found breaking them to ride and to hitch. As said by his family, when he did something, he put his whole heart into it. He was very loving, and his family came first. Spending time with his children and Grandchildren was very important to him, even if it was just looking out the window with a pair of binoculars with his grandchildren. Along with his parents Carl is preceded in death by his half brothers Reed and Harry Edman, and one grandson.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years Iva R. Edman; children Parry R. Edman of Newark, Rick Eagleston of Utica, Steve Reichard of Tn; Marvin Miller of Tx., Ruth Blackford of Hebron, Kathryn Barr of Newark, Iris Dupre’ of U.K. grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 8; special niece Dori King of N.C. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM.
