Carl was born in Newark on January 8, 1945 to the late Orrin and Ethel (Downs) Jones. He passed away at his residence on December 3, 2013.
Prior to retirement, Carl was a mechanic. He enjoyed motorcycling and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Todd Jones, Channa (Steve) Bruner and Christina Ervin; grandchildren, Steven, Courtney, Allyson, Emily, Alexandria, David, Damian and Lilliath; brother, Charles; sisters, Dolly and Juanita; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Herbert and Kenny Jones.
Visitation will be held at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
