Carmel was born on December 7, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Prospero and Theresa Melfi.
In addition to her parents, Carmel is preceded in death by her husband, Savage L. Crews and her sister, Providence Allen.
Carmel is survived by her daughter, Jodell “Jody” Crews; her grandsons, Jeremy (Sarah) Swanson and James Thomas; her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Gianna, Lexi, and Laila; her nephew, Rick Allen; her nieces, Kathy Schiming, Vicki Voll and Cyndi Thomas; and many other relatives and friends.
She was a Beautiful and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Best Friend. She was the matriarch of her family and had the sweetest soul on earth! She was very funny and quick witted and loved to laugh! She treated everyone with love and kindness and above all enjoyed taking care of her family. She will be missed more than words can explain, but one thing is for certain she is in heaven with her lovely sister and family watching over us! She had many close friends and was very involved in her condominium community group of friends and activities. She loved spending her time vacationing with her friends and having a good time. Carmel also had a keen eye for style and decorating and loved gardening.
Family will accept friends on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Advantage by Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, OH 43229
