Carmellia Maxine Jackson

Carmellia Maxine Jackson, 67, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2016. Born on August 16, 1948 in Westminster, SC. Registered Nurse for 42 years and retired from the James Cancer Hospital (OSU). Preceded in death by parents Willie Grant and Dorothy Russell. Carmellia leaves to cherish her memories her children, Joy Carmichael, Lea (Major) Cobb and Paul Carmichael IV; and grandchildren; Malea Cobb, Madison Cobb and Paul Carmichael V. She also leaves behind four sisters, Gearldene McCauley of Seneca, SC., Imogene Goodlett, Dorothy (Bobby) Gatewood and Wilma Toler; two brothers, Kenneth Grant, John (Shirley) Grant; Lifetime friend of 54 years, Marcella (Robert Eskridge) Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will truly be missed and has made a lasting impression on everyone's life that she has encountered. Schoedinger East Chapel is handling the funeral arrangements. Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday April 28, 2016 at Christian Valley Baptist Church (850 Studer Ave., 43206). Viewing will begin promptly at 10 am, ceremonial service at 11 am with Pastor Donald A. Fitzgerald Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (5600 E. Broad St., 43213).
