Carol Jean Brothers

Carol Jean Brothers passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaymon and Thetis Wright; husband, Merrill D. Brothers; siblings, Gaymon, Virginia, Harriett, Frances, Henry and Edwin. She is survived by her children, Marilyn Ennis, Nancy (Sam) Slee, and Michael (Karen) Brothers; grandchildren, Matthew (Aleicia) Ennis, Katie Ennis, Eric Slee, Kelly Brothers and Robbie Brothers; sisters, Beverly Gease, Pollie (John) Morison, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Carol was a graduate of Hilliards High School and one of the original members of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Upper Arlington where she served on the Vestry and in many other capacities. She retired as the Columbus Development Director at Episcopal Retirement Homes. She was also an active volunteer with many local charities. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church 2151 Dorset Rd. Columbus, OH 43221. The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the service. The Reverend Paul St. Germain will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions in Carol's name may be made to Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 1335 Dublin Rd.
