In loving memory of Carol Lynne Walker-Welsh (Zitkana Ho Waste Wiyan) age 64, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. She was born on April 5, 1957 in San Rafael, California to the late Joe and Selma (Sully) Walker.
Former Director of NAICCO. Current advocate for recovery and sobriety. Carol was an ambassador for the native community, teaching traditional ways and beliefs. Life long proponent of education and self betterment. Carol was extremely caring and had a giving heart.
Preceded in death by her husband Mark Allen Welsh; Nephews Michael Dean Walker II, Luke Allen Humphrey.
Survived by her children Chaska Stewart, Kaitlyn Beck-Baird and Taeya Ryane Welsh, Tyrone and Masami Smith; siblings Michael Dean Walker Sr., Joann Walker-Humphrey. Also survived by nieces and nephews Shawna, Kimberly, Kristin, Tara, Carol Frances, Asa, Genesis, many grandchildren and numerous great nieces and nephews.
