

Carolyn Cranmer Chabot, 85, passed away on October 7, 2021. She was born on April 15, 1936 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lewis and Marie Cranmer. Carolyn attended the Portsmouth City Schools where she was an honor student. She graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in Fine and Applied Arts. While at The Ohio State University, Carolyn was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Mortar Board, Chimes and Mirrors honoraries. She was the Editor of the 1957 OSU Yearbook, The Makio. Carolyn married Jack Chabot in 1958 and worked various secretarial jobs around Columbus, Ohio. She was deeply involved in volunteering. She participated in the Bexley City Schools PTA's, Thurber House and served on the board of Ballet Met. She was a long-time member of Bexley United Methodist Church and Twig 61 of Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Carolyn is preceded in death by daughter Heidi Chabot. She is survived by her husband Jack; sons, Andy (Michelle) and Eric (Lucy); sister Phyllis of Flagstaff AZ; and grandchildren, Elise and Jack.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Carolyn's funeral service will take place at Schoedinger Northeast the following morning beginning at 11am. Interment will be private.
